The Porsche 912 Register welcomes you

Hello to one and all and welcome to the 912 Register - The only 912 register affiliated with the Official Porsche Club of Great Britain. You do not need to be a PCGB club member to use this site or our forum, all are welcome!

The 912 Register PCGB welcome anybody to our forum and events, regardless of club membership. We personally are paid-up members of multiple clubs (including TIPEC, DDK, WCVC) and we have no interest in club politics. It's all about enjoying about the cars as far as we're concerned, especially driving them rather than attending formal occasions.

Using our Forum

We have a fantastic forum, on the PCGB site, which is linked to at the top of each page. To use the forum though, you will have to register (for free) here: PCGB Forum Registration. We hope to see you on the forums too!

Who are the 912 Register?

Being the only register for the Porsche 912 that is affiliated with the Official Porsche Club of Great Britain, here you find plenty of information on the cars themselves, the owners and events that we help support.

We aim to be a very friendly register, with everyone welcome. If you'd like to promote your own event, feel free to let us know and we'll help you in any way we can. The 912 Register frequently organise social events ranging from "scenic drives", dyno days, detailing demonstrations, trackdays and even international tours. Our forum hosts daily discussions from 912 owners worldwide (no membership necessary). We also publish a section in the monthly PCGB Porsche Post magazine including features on our members' cars and 912 register events.

The Porsche 912 - The affordable 911

Dismissed by some as not a true 911, the 912 offered 911 looks at an affordable price - and improved handling - and today remains a fun alternative to a classic 911. The Porsche 912 bridged the gap between the 356 and the 911 by combining the body of the 911 but utilizing the proven reliable 4 cylinder 102hp Porsche 356SC power plant. While the 912 has 30 less horsepower than its 6-cylinder counterpart, they share the same basic chassis, suspension, 4 wheel disk brakes, manual transmission, and build quality. When it comes to the 900 series cars many collectors are prone to look only for the 911 versions, however, one should keep in mind that ALL Porsche cars had 4 cylinder engines up until the 911 was introduced.
